Product Review: Glutino Berry Sensible Beginnings cereal

This is one of my favorite cereals at the moment, I love it for breakfast or as a late night snack when I want to avoid a rich or sugary dessert before bed.
This cereal from Glutino is a combination of hearty, textured and crunchy corn and rice flake style cereal with freeze dried strawberry slices that are flavor packed and really pack a punch on my taste buds. Surprisingly, the cereal looks just as good as it does on the box! I usually purchase this cereal from Against the Grain for $5.99.
This gluten free cereal tastes great with almond, soy or regular milk, and the flakes soften a bit, but don’t become soggy. At least for me- maybe I just eat my cereal too fast? It’s totally possible, because it is so good! The cereal had just a hint of sweetness, which I love, as I am not a huge fan of sugary cereals. It actually reminds me of Special K.
I also appreciate that this cereal is fortified with vitamins, so it doesn’t feel like an empty calorie snack that I will regret eating later.
Overall, a good, flavorful cereal I plan to keep in stock in my household pantry.
Rating: 5 stars
Pros: flavorful, doesn’t get soggy, fortified
Cons: pricey

If you didn’t know this, you have to remember or know that the vitamins the factory food guys fortify cereals with (as well as other factory items) are synthetic vitamins made in a laboratory and not real vitamins and, therefore, your body doesn’t really know what to do with the synthetic stuff so you dump it in the toilet and get no benefit from the “fortification”. I try to avoid fortified foods because of that alone. Think mercola.com covered the subject some time back.
