Miss your old bowl of cornflakes?
Here is a gluten free version of cornflakes from Nature’s Path
that is a good, solid product. I tried both their honey’d cornflakes and their corn flakes sweetened with fruit juice with excellent results.
Both versions feature light, crisp flakes that soften a little in milk, just like Kellogg’s Corn Flakes. However, they do not become mushy like other gluten free cereals. I loved trying this cereal with fresh bananas and strawberries as a snack. Totally good!
I found the Honey’D version just a touch sweeter than the fruit juice flavored version, but neither one was sweet enough to be a competitor with the Envirokidz Amazon Frosted Flakes
. The light corn flavor is perfect, with no weird aftertaste or texture.
I even tried these gluten free cornflakes crushed and seasoned for home made chicken tenders for my children. They loved that the corn flakes crumbs provided a nice, crunchy breading and begged for more.
Overall another great product from Nature’s Path. They really do make great gluten free cereal!
Pros: light, crisp flakes, not too sweet, not soggy and mushy in milk
Cons: Can’t think of any
Rating: 4 1/2 stars
Ingredients ( honey’s version): organic corn meal, organic evaporated cane juice, organic honey, sea salt
