Posted on | April 5, 2009 | 24 Comments
OK, It is time to get back in the groove with my monthly give-aways. I have missed them and decided to kick off April’s give-away with my favorite gluten free penne from Tinkyada. And this month, not only will you get the pasta, but you will get my all time favorite recipe for my Creamy Chicken Pasta dish. It is pictured above, and I promise it tastes better than it looks! I have yet to find someone who doesn’t ask for seconds . . .
Anyway, to win the pasta and recipe, all you have to do is:
1) Leave a comment telling me your favorite way to eat pasta. If you have a recipe on your blog or website, feel free to link to it. (I will test all links to verify they are to a pasta recipe, so don’t try any monkey business) Simply click on the word “comment” located directly under the title of this post to leave a comment.
2) Submit the comment by midnight on Saturday, April 11th.
The winner will be announced on Monday, April 13th via the website and via email to to my subscribers. Good luck!

I love to eat pasta almost anyway (with dairy when I can eat it and just with tomato sauce and herbs!) Believe me when you have gone a long time without tomatoes, pasta with tomatoe sauce tastes heavenly! I recently came up with a new recipe for pasta! It’s really yummy and simple! See it here http://artisticem.blogspot.com/2009/04/spagetti-avec-des-oeufs.html?zx=cdc6002e430001f4

I like to eat it with tomato sauce and lots of herbs. But I am going to try it with the bird’s eye broccoli and cheese sauce next.

I love to eat it with pasta sauce on it and some Jenny-0 sweet sausage cooked & diced in it.
But I’ll have to try it w/ broccoli and cheese sauce…sounds yummy.

Here is one of my favorite pasta recipes. It’s a Cooking Light recipe. I always use Tinkyada brown rice pasta. http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1734350

I’ve been trying some yummy pasta recipes from Eat Drink & Be Vegan in the last couple of weeks – the lemon garlic pasta was amazing!

Tinkinyada pastas are the best gluten-free pasta available. It cooks al-dente beautifully. My gluten husband, family and friends enjoy it as well as their gluten pasta.
I use it as a side dish dressed with EVO and goat cheese and various Seeds of Change Dressings. I combine it with main dishes like my g-f chile, and ratatouille, etc.

I love to make baked ziti! It’s so cheesy and delicious.

Hello and thanks for such a great way to let us know what GF foods are yummiest.
We have been eating this awesome Tinkyada pasta for a year and a half now and cringe at the thought of any other GF pastas out there. The Tinkyada ROCKS! It’s flavor and consistancy is absolutely perfect. Our family is dairy free so we tend to eat pasta in the more traditional tomatoe-y type way. Either a nice spicy italian sausage and tomato sauce with lots of fresh herbs or just some Tomato Basil sauce tassed in… LOVE to add broccoli to both of these recipes. I am ever SO thankful for Tinkyada!

I love to take breakfast sausage and brown it. Then pour it into a jar of Preggo Fresh Mushroom Marinara sauce. The sweetness from the breakfast sausage gives the sauce a wonderful taste. I have been on a Quinoa Noodles kick lately.

I usually make a quick meal with pasta and a pesto sauce, with some sliced chicken thrown in. It’s really easy, and nice to have on hand for hectic days.

I just tried out a recipe for vegan mac ‘n’ cheese that I love, just substitute GF pasta for the regular and it’s perfect for those of us who are GF/DF: http://www.randomgirl.com/recipes.html#macncheese (NOTE: I did not develop this recipe myself, but it is my current favorite. Delicious!)

My son has multiple food allergies among them gluten and dairy. He just loves to eat his pasta with a little salt. The latest way I’ve used them is in chicken noodles soup!

I just love it with olive oil and lots of garlic.

I love pasta salad with veggies and a vinegarette dressing and sometimes feta cheese. I love things that are easy to eat at work so things that can be pre-made are my favorite Pre-gluten free days, I always ate pasta plain with butter and salt and pepper but I haven’t tried that with gluten free pasta yet.

I LOVE pasta! Before going gluten free, one of my favorites (my family’s too) is Chicken Parmesan served with linguine or angel hair. I would make it at least twice a month. Since I’ve been gluten free, I have, sadly, only made it once. It was quite time consuming making both “regular” and gluten free versions. Since I’ve discovered how yummy rice pasta is, I will be serving pasta dishes more often and will not tell my family they are eating gluten free. I have not been able to find tinkyada pasta in any grocery stores in my area, based on your reviews, I may have to place an online order.

I love Tinkyada! My favorite dish is Pasta Carbonara – spaghetti with eggs and pancetta. YUM!

I love to make good old fashioned spaghetti and meatballs. GF meatballs of course, with a long simmered sauce. Delish!

My favorite pasta recipe is one my mom created several years ago. It is called “Seafood Charlie” It was not originally gluten free but it was easy to convert. I think the GF version tastes even better than the original! the recipe calls for cream of mushroom soup (GF of course!), celery, onions, garlic salt, canned tuna, rice noodles, (I like the shell shaped ones best!) and shredded cheddar cheese. YUMM… so delicious!

Once in a while I love baking up a batch of GF mac and cheese (with a 1:2 weight ratio of pasta:cheese!) with extra-sharp cheddar and a little sour cream added to the white sauce. Comfort food indulgence!

Pasta has always been a staple food at our house, and when hubby went GF, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that many kinds of GF pasta taste just like the real thing and make for equally delicious dinners.
We make all kinds of pasta (lately we’ve been on a Tinkyada lasagna craze), but our favorite is always pasta with a lemony-garlic sauce. We saute garlic in olive oil, then put that in a bowl, and into that bowl crush some lightly toasted pine nuts or almonds. We then throw in pasta (gf, of course) and mix it all together with lots and lots of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Yum.
