The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness ( NFCA) is hosting an event that sounds like a great time! I just wish I could go!

The Gluten Free Cooking Spree

Wachovia Center in Philadelphia , PA

September 30, 2009

VIP Reception: 5:30 – 7 pm

Main Event: 7 pm – 9 pm

The Gluten Free Cooking Spree event will have top chefs and doctors competing in an iron-chef style cooking competition to see who can create the best gluten free dish.

Attendees will also visit with over 50 vendors to try new products and pick up coupons for gluten free products. They may also learn more about Celiac disease from speakers including Christina Pirello, Emmy Award-winning host of the series Christina Cooks! and five-time cookbook author. Other special guests include Chef Bill Orton of Disney and representatives from restaurants Bindi, Distrito and Lolita.
