Product Review: Goldbaum’s Brown Rice Spaghetti Pasta- gluten free/ all natural/ dairy free
Posted on | November 5, 2008 | 2 Comments
Goldbaum’s sent me this gluten free brown rice spaghetti to try out, and I was really curious how it would compare to my stand by favorite, Tinkyada Brown Rice Spaghetti. That is some pretty steep competition! These noodles sell for $2.99 for a one pound bag.
First, I Iiked that these noodles cooked faster than Tinkyada pasta. I cooked these gluten free spaghetti noodles for nine minutes and I found this time to be perfect if you like an al dente pasta.
The noodles were chewy, but soft, and withstood the fork test easily. When I twirled the noodles around on my fork, they did not break or split and held their shape beautifully. As you can see from the photo above, these brown rice noodles gripped the marinara sauce amazingly well. I was really impressed.
The flavor is mild and would pair well with any sauce and would be ideal in many recipes.
Overall, these gluten free noodles seemed almost exactly like al dente wheat pasta! I would be happy to stock them in my own pantry to use for my whole (picky eating) family.
Pros: fast cooking time, grips sauce, pleasant flavor, flexible, affordable
Cons: if you want a softer noodle, the cooking time will be longer
Rating: 5 stars

I just tried the Goldbaum’s elbow pasta. I am so impressed! They taste just like regular pasta! My daughter, who does not have gluten allergies, tasted it and really liked it.
This is the best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had.

New to the GFCF Diet for my son with Autism and just found this brand at a Great Price ($1.99 16 oz) at our local MARCS store here in Ohio. Bought one to try and went back to stock up. Taste is excellent and at that price I can afford to serve it to the whole family versus cooking the whole wheat variety.
