I purchased this 7.1 ounce box for $3.99 with high expectations. I was totally craving a sugar wafer ( which is strange, because I didn’t like them when I could eat gluten!). The box is quite large for the weight, and the lemon flavor just sounded good.

They look like a regular sugar wafer cookie and the light yellow color and sweet fragrance confirmed my craving.Â These wafers tasted just like a regular wafer! Crunchy with layers of lemon filling. At first taste, a tart lemonÂ flavor filled my mouth followed by a powerful punch of sweetness. The more I ate, the sweeter they became. Almost too sweet! Ok, not almost, it was too sweet after a few. These wafers are good for a small treat, just be sure to have a couple here and there to avoid sugar overload. Some tasters have claimed a bitter aftertaste, but I did not experience that with this product.

Pros: Great gluten-free alternative to the “real deal”, fabulous lemon flavor, don’t taste “gluten free”

Cons: don’t eat too many, you’ll be bouncing off the walls, very sweet

Haha, I see that you HAVE had these wafers before! I love them- but only a few at a time!

I completely agree Sea! It’s nice to have a sweet treat that isn’t the standard chocolate or vanilla.
