Product Review: Gluten Free Sensation’s Cranberry Pecan Granola

I am a granola girl. I love it, and have tried many brands. When I saw this gluten free granola in the local grocery store I knew I had to try it. This package of Gluten Free Sensations cranberry pecan granola cost approximately six dollars, and lasted me about a week.
Although I love granola, my expectations were low. I usually make my own granola because store bought gluten free granola tends to either too hard, too sweet, or not flavorful enough.
I first tried this granla for breakfast. I poured milk over it, and to my surprise it was delicious! It was a good combination between the sweetness of the cranberries and coconut, and the whole grain taste of the oats. The dried cranberries, vanilla bean and coconut added great flavor. Although I didn’t see the pecans, there was a hint of pecan flavor.
The maple syrup gave the granola some crunchy clusters, while the coconut added a softness to the crunch of the granola. This gluten free granola retained it’s crunch after sitting in milk for 10 minutes. Not too shabby.
I love this granola and can see it being very versatile. You could have it with milk, yogurt, ice cream, or on fruit.
Rating:5 stars
Pros: Great flavor, nice crunch
Cons: Pricey
