Product Review:Black Horse Savory Gluten Free Sauce

I tried this gluten free savory sauce on my wedding anniversary! My husband grilled an amazing meal- I was just happy I didn’t have to cook, too. Since he picked up a few steaks for the grill, I knew they would be perfect with this sauce. This sauce comes in a 12 ounce bottle and is sold for $5.45

Black Horse sauces boast that they are a heart healthy option since this gluten free savory sauce is fat free, lower sodium, lower sugar, and cholesterol free. The labeling on this savory sauce suggest that this sauce may be used on beef, seafood, pork, wild game, stir fry, in soups and stews, and as a dip or marinade. After tasting this sauce, I suggest sticking with beef, pork, wild game, marinades and grilling. It definitely tasted best on the grill or warmed as a dip or steak sauce.

This sauce is slightly sweet and not spicy at all. The sweetness comes from molasses and brown sugar, and the tangy undertone is from apple cider vinegar and cooking wine. The addition of smoke flavoring also enhances the overall flavor. This is a mild, but flavorful sauce that would appeal to a variety of taste preferences.

Pros: pleasant flavor

Cons: if you are looking for spice this isn’t for you, may be hard to find in stores

We tried this sauce during dinner with Kristina and Stephen and my one year old loved it! She made sure to lick is all off her plate!
