HOW TO ENTER:

1. Subscribe to receive gluten free food reviews via email

( top right side of the page)

2. Leave a comment to this post and tell me you favorite gluten free product, or suggest a product for me to review in 2008.

3. You must complete #1 and #2 to be eligible!

4.Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on 12/31/07.

A winner will be selected at random and announced on this site, and only one entry per person pretty please.

This grand giveaway will kick off a new feature for 2008! Each month I will feature a gluten free giveaway to kick off and announce the theme for each month. Fun Fun Fun!

In the meantime I will be vacationing with my wonderful family, attending the gluten free wedding of my dear sister Kristina and enjoying some fun and relaxation. I will return in January to announce the winner and get 2008 started out right- gluten free all the way!

Happy Holidays!

(Oh, and give the Cause You’re Special Homestyle Gluten-Free Pie Crust Mix a try for your holiday Pies- it is truly wonderful! I used it for my Thanksgiving pies and my gluten eating guests had no idea it was gluten free. Seriously! They even asked to bring some leftover pie home if that tells you anything. A full review with lots of photos will be posted in January.)

For sweet treats, my favorite gluten free products are Gluten Free Pantry’s Angel Food Cake mix and Pamela’s Chocolate Cake mix. Delicious! For an easy snack, I love Bakery on Main’s gluten free granola.

Hi, Karen! I highly recommend the Enjoy Life Soft Baked Lively Lemon Cookies. I think they are much tastier than the Snickerdoodle cookie you reviewed last summer.

My favorite gf product is Tinkyada pasta. It cooks up nicely and has a good mouthfeel … with no heaviness or tummy ache afterwards. And it’s whole-grain! I especially like the brown rice spaghetti with my beef/veal/lamb meatballs or in a tuna noodle dish and the penne is tasty with vodka sauce and green peas. I have had good luck with baking the large shells, lasagna noodles (with no pre-boiling!), and elbows for a baked macaroni and cheese. Best of all, gluten-eaters like my fiancé love this pasta too! Please enter me into the contest!

Bionaturae pasta is the best pasta ever- in my opinion even better than tinkyada- no real rice taste. Another great food to try is the Namaste Pizza Crust Mix, and the Whole Foods brand gluten free muffin mix- everyone I know loves that mix.

I really enjoy the Kinnikinnick Lemon Cranberry cookies. Very Very addictive!

I love receiving your food reviews. I am looking for a Gluten Free Bread for my daughters sandwiches for school lunch. She is not really happy with the one I am currently giving her. We are currently using a bread from Ener-G Foods. It’s the Tapioca Loaf. I use a gluten free bread from Kinnikinnick Foods for things at home like toast or a toasted sanwich. She does like their Italian White Tapioca Rice Bread. The down side is you have to keep it frozen.

Thank you so much for the great reviews!! My favorite product is Pamelas pancake and baking mix. I am a baker and have used it with great success in many recipes. Please enter me in the contest and keep up the good work.

I think you should review the Clif Nectar bars for 2008, especially the Dark Chocolate Raspberry one. Mmmmmm.

Karen! What a cool contest you are having!! You sneaky thing you, to get your reader numbers up!! Great idea! I wish I had thought of it! I make most of my GF stuff from scratch with GF flours: brown rice, tapioca, teff, potato starch, sorghum, arrowroot, etc… So my favorite GF stuff is just general GF cooking flours, but I LOVE Tinkyada pasta too! I also have a sweet spot for Pamela’s Spicy Ginger Cookies!! Mmmmmm! I don’t like many “on the market” GF cookies, but I LOVE hers!!

I absolutely love Gifts of Nature rolled oats. They are just plain oats to make oatmeal, but they are certified GF. I love oatmeal and its healthy (I also have Diabetes so it helps control my blood sugar too). I put maple extract or hazelnut syrup with cinnamon on a cold morning.

Hey Carrie- I agree, good gf cookies are hard to come by! But, there’s no sneakiness here :) The email registration is so that the winners know when they have won- notification is sent straight to the inbox. I do love your recipes, and hope that when I get good at gf cooking I can make them successfully!

I read your reviews everyday and thay have been wonderful and very informative for me! I’m still a bit of newbie Celiac so I have not tried too many pre-packaged gluten free items but I did really enjoy Pamelas Brownie mix – complements of your site :) And for local pint of view – here in Colorado we have a bakery called Outside the Breadbox and they hands down the best cookies ever! Chocolate Chip, Ginger, Snicker Doodle, and Cocoa Coconut…..and their hearty Montins Blend bread with gluten free grains made me so happy.

My favorite gf product is the Tinkyada pastas. My family loves them even though they do not normally eat gf.

I would like to see you review Mary’s Gone Crackers. http://www.marysgonecrackers.com/ns/intro.php

    Thanks!

My favorite always changes because I love variety, but right now because it’s Christmas time I am loving Mi-del’s ginger cookies. They are okay out of the bag but I put them on a tray in the oven at 350° for 7 minutes and they get all toasty on the outside and soft and melty in the middle YUM!

Glutino pretzels are the best. And I tried a Belgian gluten free beer at The Risotteria in NYC, (I consider it a GF Palace!) that was to die for. It was Green’s Brewery Belgian Amber Ale.

We’ve been partially GF since Aug. when my DD Olivia was dx with CD. Most of our faves are things we’ve learned to make ourselves,as well as stuff that is naturally GF, but Olivia does love the Glutino pizza and the Ener-G pretzels. Glad to have found this site and THANKS!!!

It took me ages to pick one thing, but I think my favorite product is the wellshire farms dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. the ONLY thing wrong with them is that they’re expensive–otherwise they’re totally amazing.

I really enjoy all of the Kinnikinnick poducts but one of their best is the maple glazed cake doughnuts…they are fantastic. I just store them in the freezer and microwave then for 15-20 seconds whenever I have a craving.
