I think I am on a roll- I have tried some great gluten free products lately, and this is another one to add to the bunch.
I have never had falafel chips, and really wasn’t quite sure what they were. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised, and my entire family enjoyed them. They are made by Flamous Brands Inc. and come in a simple eight ounce brown bag, and are double bagged inside for freshness.
These chips are sturdy and thick with a nice crunch. These gluten free chips are great with hummus or any their thick and hearty dip you want to try. They were a bit greasy from the oil, but no so much that it bothered me and it did not ruin the flavor and texture of these gluten free chips.
These chips taste great as well. Their corn and chickpea base is quite tasty and a variety of 15 herbs and vegetables that add enough flavor to taste great, but does not overwhelm or compete with dip flavors. I especially liked the kick of cumin flavor. They are not sweet, and have a wholesome, satisfying taste. Since these falafel chips have 4 grams of protein per serving, I also found them to be a filling and satisfying snack.
Overall, this is a good solid product that I would buy for my family.
Pros: thick and hearty texture and flavor, great for dips, organic ingredients, low sugar, good source of protein & fiber
Cons: hmmm, can’t really think of any!
Rating: 5 stars
Ingredients: organic ground corn, organic chickpeas, organic expeller pressed canola oil and/or safflower oil and/or sunflower oil and/or palm oil, propriety organic vegetable/herb mix ( cumin, coriander, basil, white pepper, carrot, tomato, spinach, celery, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, parsley, majoram), sea salt
To purchase these chips, your best bet is to check your local grocery store or natural foods store.
