Product Review: Bob’s Red Mill Potato Flour – Gluten free/ wheat free/ dairy free
Posted on | February 1, 2007 | 1 Comment

This Bob’s Red Mill Potato Flour is powdery soft and made from 100% dehydrated potatoes. I have used it with great success in making gravy, sauces and soups. It adds thickness and body to the sauce or soup without making it appear gummy. I usually whisk it in the sauce and it dissolves with few lumps. It can also be used in baking to promote a moist crumb. I like this one!
I purchased a 22 ounce bag for $1.53 (on sale)
Rating: 4 stars

Have you tried /reviewed Jules Gluten Free all purpose flour. I’ve been using Bob’s Mill All Purpose GF flour since being diagnosed 4 years ago because I found it the best of what was readily available in most local stores. It does have that odd odor though that is a bit off putting.
I recently ordered the trial size of Jules gluten Free flour (unfortunately only available on line) and made the blueberry muffin recipe they provide with the sample. the muffins were yummy and really close to a “regular” muffin. Very light and tasty.
The downside is that the since it’s only available on line, when the shipping costs are added to the cost of the 5lb bag of flour it comes to over $30! But I guess this can be justified if the finished goodies are delicious.
