Bionaturae Penne Rigate- rice potato and soy pasta

Hmmmm, I was pretty disappointed with this product, especially since their spaghetti is pretty good. What a shame, what a shame . . .
This pasta was chewy- really chewy- even after adding cooking time on my second prep attempt. The noodles are thick and definately hold their shape well, I guess I was just hoping for something that was a bit softer and resembled traditional penne a bit more. The flavor isn’t too bad, and the grooves on the pasta did hold the sauce well, which was a nice surprise. I found myself adding more sauce and cheese to finish my meal. Not horrible, but not good enough for me to buy again.
This pasta cost $2.79 for a 12 ounce bag.
Pros: ok flavor, holds shape well
Cons: very chewy
Rating: 2 stars

Wonder if it is the bag itself. The pasta has cooked w/ in a reasonable time for us (10 mins or so), al dente, holds sauce really well and taste as wonderful as its counter-part spaghetti. It also reheats really well w/out compromising texture, which far too often happens w/ day old leftovers from brown rice pasta.
