April Gluten Free Food/ Product Give-Away-

During spring and summer, many of us travel for vacations, to visit family or for employment. And we know, traveling can be very difficult when you need to eat gluten free. My family and I took some weekend trips to three major east coast cities last fall and I discovered a lot about gluten free eating on the go. I hope to share some of my tips and tricks with my reviews this month because the theme is:

“Gluten Free: Will Travel!”

My reviews this month will feature gluten free travel-friendly foods, snacks and resources. To kick off a new theme, I have two items to give-away. Yes! That means TWO WINNERS!

The gluten free granola from Trader Joe’s is a great travel snack! I took the “tropical mix” with me to Jamaica a couple weeks ago!

Cardamom date muffins made from brown rice flour! I made them for my gf fiancée but gobbled my fair share myself!

My favorite GF travel snacks are: Larabar’s, Light Microwave Popcorn, and Fruit! I love Larabar’s, but they are a bit pricey, so I’ve become an expert at locating microwaves in airports!

My favorite gluten free snack is granola either from Whole Foods (I love the maple almond) or Bakery on Main the apple raisin walnut.
I also love the Think Thin bars in the white chocolate chip. They are a perfect snack.
Living in a small town in NH, I have not traveled much. The farthest I have traveled has been Pennsylvania when I was eleven. My sister and nephews live in New York (about an hour outside of New York City) so that would be my favorite pkace to go for right now. When I get older I want to visit most of the states (especially the warmer ones!) Europe, the Mediterranean, basically the world! :D

  11. Melissa Dean Says:

My favorite vacation spot is Lake Powell (Utah). With all the red rocks, wake boarding, and jet skiing you could ever dream of!!! Hope some of you get a chance to go there sometime, it is the best!!

I’m in my car a great deal driving back and forth across the city. I keep a “snack bag” in my car and it usually contains Tillamook Beef Jerky (Brown Sugar and Honey flavor) because it doesn’t contain soy sauce, almonds, dried lychee from Trader Joe’s, Glutino pretzels, peanut butter, and little Japanese honey “baby cookies” we always knew as “kimi balls” (I think that name was made up for my sister). I get protein I know I need and can get a sweet or salty fix…whatever my little heart desires :)

  19. Dorothy Says:

My favorite on-the-go snacks are nuts, cheese sticks, trail-mixes, rice cakes, and fruit. I love traveling everywhere. I had a nightmare the other night that I was getting on a plane for an overseas trip and I had forgotten to bring any food or order the GF meal! Woke me up in a sweat! :)

  20. Katy Says:

My kid’s favorite gluten free travel snack would have to either be the Welch’s fruit snacks or bananas. My husband and I really like the Glutino pretzels!

  21. Julie Says:

My favorite travel snack is Just the Cheese baked cheese snacks. They are yummy!! They can be found at http://www.specialcheese.com. My husband and I order these by the boxes.

  22. MrsBully Says:
