7 Things About Me . . . July 10
I’ve been tagged!
Ok, Neena from A Mom’s Life, and one of the first people that found my blog, has tagged me for this fun and possibly revealing activity. So, of course I had to participate. I know this deviates from my strict product review format, but hey, I’m sure it will be fine.
Here’s the rules, as described by Neena:
The Rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog post with their 7 things as well as these rules. You need to tag up to 7 others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.
7 Things About Me:
1. I don’t like to cook much because I really hate the dirty dishes afterward. The simpler the recipe, the less dishes used, the better.
2. I really thrive more in a small group setting. Larger groups and social activities make me uncomfortable and self-conscious.
3. I have an undergrad in psychology and completed graduate coursework in social work. Before my kiddos I worked as a career counselor and now I am a part-time domestic violence/sexual assault counselor in a shelter. It’s as tough job, but it makes me grateful for the blessings I have in my life.
4. I am extremely loyal to my friends and family. However, I am also very sensitive at times, and it takes me a while to “get over” unkind behavior or hurtful situations.
5. I am a chronic list maker. If I have it on paper, it has a better chance of getting done.
6. If I had one silly wish, I would wish for a better sense of style- whether it be clothes, house decor, whatever. I tend to choose simple and boring because I have no idea of something is stylish or just plain wierd.
7. I never wear a watch. My day flows best on a loosely planned schedule. if I have my list of activities to do, I like to do it when it fits, not when a clock tells me I need to be somewhere. If I feel rushed or late, I get stressed and cranky. So, not wearing a watch solves that problem.
Ok, you guys are next!

Karen,
I am so glad that you deviated from your product review format for this post. I really enjoyed learning more about you. I, too, am a listmaker. However, I find that I am always forgetting the list and have to work off of my failing memory. And, yes, the unkind behavior does not sit well with me either. I found the heated exchange on my blog last week very exhausting and your kind words helped me get past that. Thank you, and thank you for participating in the meme.

Yah, I don’t understand why that guy was being so picky! Your site is awesome and I look forward to future posts.
I try to save my personal stuff for my family blog, but I think it’s also nice to know more about the person doing the typing. Thanks for the opportunity!
